Hei everyone,
My name is Arvind (arvindfroi). I'm Norwegian and I've been doing a fair
bit of open source translation lately, so I figured it was about time I
said hello here properly instead of just lurking around Weblate.
I recently sat down and finished the Norwegian Bokmål translation for
systemd - all 285 strings - and honestly I had a good time doing it, so I'd
like to keep going. There's a lot more I can pick up across the core stuff
(Anaconda, dnf and friends), and I'd also like to help keep the Norwegian
we already have from going stale.
I see Kjartan is the coordinator for Norwegian, and I don't want to step on
any toes - he's been doing this far longer than me. I'd just like to
actually pull my weight. If it's possible to get added to the Norwegian
team as a reviewer so I can approve and fix things directly rather than
only leaving suggestions, that would make a real difference. Totally fine
to start small and earn it.
One thing I want to be upfront about: I do use AI as a drafting tool, but
I'm a native speaker and I read and fix everything myself before it goes
anywhere - I'm not in the business of dumping machine output on anyone.
Happy to work however the team prefers.
Anyway, that's me. Looking forward to helping out.
Arvind
