the name of the daemon, such as cyrus, smtpd, httpd, etc.
That's another problem that gettext's plural forms support solves. Read

language and character sets, right?
But they may add things before and after them based on the way they are
pronounced, say. Like when you use "a" or "an" before an English word
based on its pronounciation.
