Great. Is there someway of automatically knowing if it is up or down on a
daily basis without having to upload first? - Mike
Short answer: No.
The infrastructure team gets notified if the application is not responding
through the regular monitoring systems. But the application being up and
running does not mean that all is ok within the application.
(If something goes wrong, the poor sucker experiencing this would have to
notify the maintainers. The maintainers can then look at a log file that may or
may not give a hint to where the problem is).
