Hi Chester,
Ping to
i18n.redhat.com always times out - so does
ping to other sites. The only site I can successfully
ping is
yahoo.com - but that too w/ 50% loss and ttl =
1.2s.
I dont know if port 22 is open or not, but being an
European conservative company, I bet port 22 is
blocked.
Can anyone help me with the issue?
Thanks in advance,
~A.

Hi A G,
I tried to MISconfigure the DNS server on my
computer and I got the same
error message as your.
(Unable to open connection: Host does not exist)
So I think it's DNS problem.
Could you ping i18n.redhat.com?
BTW, is port 22 (SSH) on your company proxy open?
(If, however, the firewall does not allow SSH, the
error message should
be
"Network connection refuse".)
Regards,
Chester
p.s. Thanks mkim and marmot for helping the tests
