Hi translators,
Another guide on the block, the Fedora Virtualization Deployment and Administration Guide, has now been set up on Transifex for translation.
The guide is the a merge between the following guides: - the Virtualization Administration Guide, - the Virtualization Host Configuration, - the Guest Installation Guide.
I plan to update the resources as upstream moves, do let me know if it is moving too fast as time passes.
The project can be found here on Transifex: https://fedora.transifex.com/projects/p/fedora-virt-deploy-and-admin/
And here if you want to follow its evolution or file tickets: https://fedorahosted.org/virtualization-deployment-and-administration-guide/
It covers both Fedora virtualization (KVM) and oVirt.
Please let me know also of issues you could have, and please file tickets to improve its quality.
Regards, happy translating,
J.

I can't speak personally for the owner of this guide, but in general, docs writers haven't been getting much use out of trac in recent releases. Filing a bug against the guide in Bugzilla will probably get best results.
Hi Pete
I don't mind doing the translation, but not necessarily using the software, you mentioned. The reason is that it only does a literal translation, which is in the end no better than subjecting the English to Google or Yahoo.translate.
I have proof read the French Revision notes as translated, and marked them up for the authors to review. I am however quite willing to do the translate as it should be done, by me, a human.
Let me know, and send the link so I can dl the english document
Regards
Leslie

Gentlemen
I visited the translation project, and tried to translate some text. I wrote my changes, but was unable to save same. I also saw other text that needed some touchups and again was unable to revise these texts.
Is there a online guide for this software that explains the processes?
Regards
Leslie

Start here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N
Every group within Fedora has a new member SOP, and reading the procedural wiki pages maintained by that group is effectively mandatory. You'll notice that unlike mailing lists, transifex translation groups ( and docs repos, for that matter ) require sponsorship, usually based on merit of contribution and understanding of the group's operation, before you have write access.
I started to translate a paragraph, but ran into difficulties in that I am not enough familiar with the software you are using, I could just mark that I am doing the translation and forward it to someone to place it in the appropriate location in the target document.
Regards
Leslie

I may have been too presumptuous in making this guide available at this stage. Please focus on other documents until I can clarify the guide owner's intentions.

I applied three days and 17 hours ago, to do the translation of English to French. I have a logon to Transifex, I am awaiting some acceptance of my volunteer desire.

Leslie
