Translators have to sychronize their files with package.pot after they checkout translate module or they can start immediately to edit their language file? I noticed that in my language (Greek) redhat-menus el.po although translated 100% was not in sync with redhat-menus.pot. The result is english entries in menus for Fedora Core 5 and also different word for System top menu (in Greek is Desktop).
Generally in FC5 we have the same old problems :translations not included and much translator work is lost...

Merge with latest POT file is under Translator's control. So, It will be better for translator to merge with POT before start work on language file

for not included translation, please you file a bug again package and select severity https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_severity as "Translation"

Hmm... I thought last time we already agreed that translation will be automatically updated when POT file is changed.
Server should run cron job to make sure that all translation is up to date and in sync with the latest POT.

I for one prefer it the way it is now -- I hate working on a big translation for several days, only to find that by the time I finally commit my work, it results in a CVS conflict because the file had been automatically merged with a newer POT in CVS, which is something that I'm perfectly capable of doing myself, and I which I always do anyways.
