The Fedora Account System is now in string freeze in preparation for a new release next week. Only a few strings have changed since the last release. Code can be viewed at: http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=fas.git;a=tree
The staging fas server can be looked at for the running code: https://admin.stg.fedoraproject.org/accounts/
I can refresh the code that's running in stg Monday of next week. I'm planning on cutting the final release on Thursday, February 2nd.
A warm thank you to anyone who wishes to translate this before the release date.

Simplified Chinese FAS po has been 100% translated. But there are some untranslated words when I change the language to zh_CN on: https://admin.stg.fedoraproject.org/accounts/ .

Same here for Dutch 100% translated strings, i.e. - - in left menu it still says "Group List" and "Join a Group". - - at 'Types' when looking at groupmembers it says "administrator sponsor user Alles" only the last word is Dutch, and is a single string "All" -> lowercase 'administrator', 'sponsor' and 'user' as a single translation string does not exist. regards Richard Dutch TT

Thanks! I've marked these for translation and also found:
* "Create New Group" * "Create Group" * "Apply!" [Button text] * "Add" [button text] * "change" * "No ssh key provided" * "Account Information Public" * "Account Information Private"
Also note, I've discovered that the fas plugins (currently, only yubikey) aren't being translated. It looks like I may have to work on the code that loads message catalogs as well as the code that extracts messages before that will work.
If you find any other strings that aren't available for translation, let me know what the English strings are and I'll find them in the source and mark them for translation.

Thank you for your efforts! On more thing: I translated the string '(change)' as a noun, like in 'the change', not as a imperative verb, like in 'change this'. Would you like to let me know if i am wrong here. Checking the translation fully involves joining groups, getting approved, requesting sponsors, getting approval on that etc etc. in real (including the appropriate send email-notifications in the correct languish). Makes it quite difficult.

It is actually an imperative verb. Thanks for chwecking!

Yeah :-( I'm not sure precisely what to do about that. Maybe for the next release I can deploy to a test instance and make translators admins of the test instance. That way they can sponsor their own requests.

'Welcome [username]' right upper corner still english.
Another thing is, i noticed that at 'Invite a New Member' an email is created with an invitation text, which is currently a translation string in FAS. Although this string is unexpectedly not in Dutch if you click the 'Invite a New Member' link, the question it raises is: should it be localized anyway? Probably a group would be formed with people of many nationalities, invite members in exclusively your own languish may be not so handy, translating the localized text back to english for the occasion even less. What do you think? regards Richard

You're right, this doesn't make much sense to me. Some options:
* display localized, send in English * display in English, send in English. * Have a selection box to choose a translated version if available. Send in the language that is displayed.
I think I'll change the code to do English/English for this release. For the next release I'll try to write code that uses a selection box to change to a translated version.

The same in zh_CN page, in addition, untranslated strings are:
"You are not logged in (login button)" on the top-right of the page.
"Please log in." "You have successfully logged out. " "You must provide your credentials before accessing this resource." "Login button" and "Sign Up" in the log in/out page.
Thanks

Thanks, this is similar to the problem with plugins. The text for the login and logout buttons is translated as part of the python-fedora package which is separate from fas and has a separate message catalog. I have to work on the fas code in order to load the message catalogs from there in addition to the message catalogs for fas itself.
So, for this release, they won't show up translated but I'll try and figure out how to fix that for the next release.
