Fedora 12 Release Notes

I am currently uploading a build of the release notes to

http://fedora.is-sixsigma.com/F12beta/

for all the languages.  All the languages should be there in a few hours. 
Most only have a little translation done, but I appreciate folks getting 
right on this.  I will update this copy frequently over the next couple of 
weeks so that translators have a chance to review their work without having 
to personally go through all the gyrations of building the notes.

Hear, hear! The immediate and generous response by you guys means that 
the Release Notes are nearly complete in SIX languages within days of 
the POT becoming available!

Thanks to all of you, and a special thanks once again to Geert Warrink 
-- Dutch is already at 100%!

I think Spanish translation will be completed tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight (U.S.) i will be testing an automatic update.  With any luck, a
version reflecting the previous day's commits should be completed around
0800Z each day.

There are certain parts of the release notes missing from the pot
files.  For example section "1.5.1. We Need Feedback!".  Is this
something that is planned to be fixed later on, or should I write a
bugzilla about it?

The "We Need Feedback!" section is drawn from Publican's "Common 
Content", which you already translated to Swedish for me some time ago 
:) So this section should not appear in the POT.

But is there anything else missing?

I was similar!  But I didn't realize its translation would come from
there.

The Legal Notice is also omitted.  But maybe that is for legal
reasons?  Or is there a general "Legal Notice" document to translate
somewhere, similar to the "Conventions" and "Feedback"?

Apart from that, I can't find anything missing, no.

Yes, that's correct. The Legal Notice always appears in English.

Thanks for asking about these missing sections -- we know from F11 that 
the current process of merging and splitting the PO files is somewhat 
error-prone. Those of us working on publishing the docs therefore really 
appreciate translators pointing out any weirdness that they encounter :)

Interesting.  That section is part of "Common Content", and as such, isn't 
really a part of the Release Notes but a part of the Fedora branding for 
Publican.  So no its not a bug, and no it shouldn't be in the pot.

I have just installed updated branding so if all goes well, a copy with the 
branding bits in the correct language for nl and se should be up in an hour 
or less.  All the languages will be done overnight.
