LaTeX (tetex) files?
by Manuel Carro
Hi. I am an old-time LaTeX user, and I am missing some files in
the LaTeX distribution which comes with FC1 + updates. For example,
the utopia font package (utopia.sty) and listings package are not in
place. In can copy them from some other machine, but I prefer not to
mess with system-installed files. Has anyone had the same problem?
Should I update tetex to the FC2 packages? Which distribution:
fedora.us or fedora.redhat?
Thanks in advance for all and any help.

Second Ethernet
by Axel IS Main
I'm trying to configure a second ethernet adapter in my fedora computer.
The original is connected to my internet network, the second will go to
a cable modem and then out to the internet. The problem I'm having is
the new adapter won't pick up an IP from the cable DHCP. I've checked
and the cable modem is definitely looking at the mac of the new nic.
Another thing I'm noticing is that this machine is configuring both nics
to the same interrupt. Is it possible that this is what is causing the
problem?

Fax printing problem
by Guy Bouchard
I am new to Linux and need some help to make it do what i was doing with
Win98.
I have search on the web. It seem i can't search list archive so here i go.
I am not sure how to fax but i figure i have to use kdeprintfax.
Here what i got in the journal when using kdeprintfax with KDE:
>
Mime type: text/plain
Command: enscript -M %psu -E -p %out %in
[ 1 pages x 1 copies
>
I got similar result with other option like Efax or mgetty.
Is something missing?
I have almost all FC1 package installed.
Thanks!

APT and GPG signature
by runlevel0
Hi Fedorians,
I'm a recent migrator from Debian and have had some trouble
with signature verification using apt.
I get an Illegal/Unknown key complaint from apt.
I know apt-deb quite well and looking in /etc/apt y found a dir called
gpg where some keys are stored.
I imported al necessary keys from the keyservers into my keyring, but
this doesn't seem to work with apt and the man page does not make me any
wiser as it is the good ol' Debian apt manpage.
Should I simply copy the keys from my keyring or the download sites into
/etc/apt/gpg or is there any means todo this in a 'civilized' manner?
I can remember that as I was using an older RH distro I was able to
deactivate gpg verification, but one of the points which made me migrate
to Fedora was actually this option and disabling it is not a choice for
me.
Regards,
P.D.: I really *love* this damn distro.

Cd burning
by John Gray
Hello all
Burning cd's . . . the bane of my life and always a challenge.
Can anyone tell me how to successfully copy a cd with tracks that flow
into each other? When I try to, I get the "gap" between tracks.
I have tried this with gnometoaster and xcdroast.
Thanks

Hi,
Anyone know what the problem is with the list archives not being available, or
when they might be available?
I'd like to try and look up a solution for the following entries in my daily

I'm sure I've seen them discussed, but I don't save all the traffic from the
list. :-)

I invoke X using 'startx', i did an uptime and that's my load average:
0.41, 0.15, 0.06.
As I said before, even booting with an older kernel and reinstalling an
older version of the driver, the problem continues. I've tried
everything of NVIDIA's FAQ's and forums with no success. I posted a
question there but they didn't answer.
Thanks for your reply,

Create a database/catalog of my music files CDs...
by Coume - Lubox.com
Hello,
I would like to know if it exists a software that could retrieve all the music available on your CD-ROMS and HDDS to create a DB (MySQL) that could help to manage them.
How do you manage your CDs?
Thxs in advance
