mplayerplug-in for FC4 x86_64

Has anyone seen an RPM for mplayerplug-in on FC4 x86_64? I've been searching all day and no luck. kmail- cannot start process pop3

Hi All, Well, I'm really stuck and need help. I'm grasping at straws to figure out what caused the problem I am having. Here is the problem (I have posted this in other threads. I'm still trying to find a solution) Running FC3, KDE 3.3.1-2 and kmail 1.7.1. I'm using qmail (from qmailrocks.org) to recieve mail for all users on my network. Everything has been working great up to a couple of days ago. Then, mail stopped coming in or going out. In checking the logs, I found that yum had installed exim and that messed everything up. So I stopped exim and now mail is coming in and going out as normal. I read my mail on the same computer that the mail server runs on. When I start kmail, it posts an error dialog: "Cannot start process pop3" and then does not bring in my mail. I used netstat to verify that tcpserver (from qmailrocks) is listening on port 110. I can "telnet localhost 110", log in and list my mail, so I know that the pop server is alive and working (plus other users can get their mail). I ruled out my firewall (turned it off, briefly and got the same error message. I also ruled out hosts.deny and hosts.allow, since they are empty. I'm guessing that something that yum installed/updated on my system has caused my problem, but I don't know. Its only a guess. OpenOffice 2.0 not recognizing Microsoft fonts?

Hello, Does anyone know how to get OpenOffice 2.0 (the version included with Fedora Core 4) to recognize the Microsoft TrueType fonts I installed? When I check the font menus, all I see are the default/preinstalled Linux fonts. The MS fonts are installed under "/usr/share/fonts". Thanks... Anthony

Two years from now, folks running older versions of RH or FC for which no glibc update was issued will have their clocks stop showing correct time for most of the year. That's because Washington has screwed around with Daylight Savings Time, again. They don't have anything better to do inside the Beltway, apparently. I always thought that daylight time was a joke. It's totally stupid, and has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I am aware of the official excuse for daylight time, but I still think it's stupid, it's dumb, and idiotic. If anyone is really serious about saving energy, they should simply change the timezone permanently. Starting in 2007, the so-called "standard time" will actually be in effect for less than half a year. Standard time won't really be the standard most of the time. Isn't it amazing? The US is now the laughing stock of the entire world. You can almost see everyone point their fingers across the Atlantic: “Those dumb yanks, they can't even make up their mind what time of day it is, most of the time!”

I'm using Firefox on a box with FC3. If I try to open a *.cpp file it wants to use emacs. emacs results in a new window that I don't want to look at. If I open a *.txt file, it lets me read text in the browser window without any distracting colors. [FC3] squid ftp blocked by selinux

After the last selinux policy update I can no longer use squid to proxy FTP transfers. dmesg shows lots of: audit(1122716171.029:8): avc: denied { name_connect } for pid=2553 comm="squid" dest=21 scontext=user_u:system_r:squid_t tcontext=system_u:object_r:ftp_port_t tclass=tcp_socket audit(1122716171.129:9): avc: denied { name_connect } for pid=2553 comm="squid" dest=21 scontext=user_u:system_r:squid_t tcontext=system_u:object_r:ftp_port_t tclass=tcp_socket audit(1122716171.229:10): avc: denied { name_connect } for pid=2553 comm="squid" dest=21 scontext=user_u:system_r:squid_t tcontext=system_u:object_r:ftp_port_t tclass=tcp_socket HTTP transfers still function fine. adding a primary partition

I want to ads another primary partition, will this fu*k up my partition numbering?
