[FC5] "Sender address rejected" for just about all email now

Hi list Package mix: Postfix-2.2.2-2 Cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-6 Amavisd-new-2.4.2-2 I'm getting: Sender address rejected: Domain not found for just about all inbound email. Time to switch off spam filters and reassess filtering policy? Or has one of the blacklists that I'm not aware of unlearned spam patterns? Please advise :-) Smee

yum problem - and solution

The second time I ran "sudo yum update" after upgrading to FC-6 I got the error Metadata file does not match checksum even after running "yum clean all" and "yum makecache". So I googled for 'yum "Metadata file does not match checksum"' and got the advice ====================================== i did this mv /var/cache/yum/* /tmp than i run the yum install <appz> ====================================== which did indeed do the trick. Fedora install -mac monitor- issue

I am installing fedora core 5 on a g5 dual 2.7Ghz mac and shortly after starting disk 1 the monitor goes blank and the HD runs like it is crunching alot of info. The parm allows the use of high numbered ports in the connection. Note that you have to make sure the NFS version issues are dealt with as mentioned in earlier posts. Bob Styma

Hello, I followed the instructions in http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-fedora-fc6.html#kernelsrc for installing and builing kernel source for Fodora Core 6 on x86_64. I did my actions as a root and not as a user. I download kernel-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6.src.rpm I ran : rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6.src.rpm then : rpmbuild -bp --target=x86_64 kernel-2.6.spec Building target platforms: x86_64 Building for target x86_64 error: Failed build dependencies: unifdef is needed by kernel-2.6.18-1.2798.x86_64 and I have nothing in /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/ googling for this error gave only 1 hit: http://www.t2-project.org/irclogs/t2-2006-10-17 and it did not help much. Any idea what could it be ? did anyone tried and had success with it ? Regards, IB

I figure the first step is just getting the source rpm built so I can verify I can build a radeon module that is equally broken as the one that comes with FC6 (broken for my monitor, that is). If I can get that build to work, I'm sure I'll be able to apply some of the patches mentioned in the bugzillas and rebuild to see if I can get it working better, but mostly I know nothing about unpacking and building source rpms (especially of kernel modules like video drivers). Gene Glad Craig got you on your way. Had to find this because I had just done it and couldn't remember the details. The updated repos are sent with the distribution so all you have to do is fetch the file fedora-release-6-4.noarch.rpm Form a source such as <http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/6/i386/os/Fedor a/RPMS/fedora-release-6-4.noarch.rpm> It will update the yum.repos.d file with the updates as xxx.repo.rpmnew. >From there you can make your fixes as you like them. fetchmail and not delivering cc + bcc mail

Hi Please could you advise. I have fetchmail / sendamil running on a server that collects mail every 15 min, but it seems that the mail address in the cc and bcc are not being delivered to the user's boxes and going to the catch all box. fixing amarok ???

I used amarok as my player in FC4. It worked great with the flac files I have. I am VERY disappointed to see that the FC6 upgrade UNINSTALLED amarok ! I installed amarok 1.4.3 with yum install amarok, but there are problems ! 1) it crashes frequently 2) it doesn't play mp3 and flac files ! Anyone have a quick solution for these issues, like an fc6 rpm that doesn't crash and will play mp3 and flac files ? -- Kim Lux, Diesel Research Inc.
