SELinux question
by Zoltan Boszormenyi
Hi,
I have installed a second harddisk that was mounted as /home1.
To free up my / filesystem a bit, I moved /var/lib/pgsql to
/home1/pgsql with mv it retained the original contexts and
then created a symlink at the original place.
Now, postgresql doesn't start unless I exclude it from SELinux.
Furthermore, "fixfiles relabel /home1" destroyed the file contexts
under /home1/pgsql.
I tried to RTFM on SELinux contexts and permissions, discovering
that I need to install selinux-policy.noarch so I can finetune the policy.
But no files under /usr/share/selinux/devel/include/ contain references
to /var/lib/pgsql, not even
/usr/share/selinux/devel/include/services/postgresql.if.
So, how can I fix the current situation and include /home1/pgsql in
the postgresql context/domain? I would like to relabel it to recover the
context...
BTW the same principle would apply if one would like to create
another tablespace for postgresql under another mount point...
Best regards,
Zoltán Böszörményi

[OT] routing
by hicham
Hello
I have some basic questions on some network and routing issue
I need to setup two pc 's A and B acting as gateways
( running on Fedora )
assigned ip adress 10.3.5.223 for pc A and 10.3.4.225 for pc B
connected to a private lan network 10.3.0.0
now the subnet for the gateway A is a network 10.10.1.0 / 24 , gateway
A in this subnet got ip address 10.10.1.1
and subnet for gateway B is a network 10.20.1.0/24, gateway B ip
address is 10.20.1.1
now I need to get a pc in subnet 10.10.1.0 / 24, communicate with a pc
in subnet 10.20.1.0/24, How do I achieve that ? thru a routing table
right ?
what do I need to fill in my route table in system-config-network ?
Thanks for replying

Madwifi not working with latest kernel upgrade, broken dependency.
by Gerry Tool
Yesterday I did a yum update on my laptop. A new kernel, 2122, and many
other packages installed, but madwifi from livna would not install due
to a dependency on madwifi-kmod-common. The new kernel and the
installed madwifi do not work together. I can get madwifi to work if I
boot to the previous kernel 2096.
The missing dependency for madwifi and kmod-madwifi is
madwifi-kmod-common = 0.0.0.20060317 is not available.
Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Timer applet, alarm applet?
by wwp
Hey all!
I've given a try to the timer applet (1.2, FC5/GNOME). Does anyone know a
similar GNOME applet for reminders/alarms? The timer applet only does
countdowns, and I'd like to set similar alarms at fixed date/time for
instance.
Any hint?
Regards,

different ssh settings for different users
by Ankush Grover
hey friends,
I am using openssh-3.9 on FC3.Is it possible to have different ssh
settings for each user means if there is a user john and he can only
connect through the port 3309 and if there is a user mary she can
only connect through the port 4067 ?
Rest of the users should be able to connect through the default port
that is 5009.
Moreover is it possible to restrict some users to login only from few
machines for example I want to restrict user tom that he can only
login from one machine ?
Please let me know if you need any further inputs.
Thanks & Regards
