Fedora 7 Installation no go

Dear list, If you have received this message twice please forgive me, but konqueror crashed on me and I am not sure that the message got through. Installation of Fedora 7 on a machine does not work. Anaconda reported a bug and here is the complete log If this is already in bugzilla, which one to add my comments. I'll either clear off a 1GB thumb drive or burn it to a DVD. I noticed that my comment about the size of the image seems to have set off quite a lengthy discussion. Obviously, I missed the change to the documentation that said this was a "Live image" as opposed to a "Live CD image." I'll change my comment somewhat since going over what will fit on a CD seems to be intentional. This is still silly if not downright wrong. There are a lot more systems "out there" that only have a CD drive and no DVD drive. This is especially true of older systems that originally had W2K or XP and now the owner is faced with either buying a new system with Vista or staying with an older version of Windoze. I can't believe there isn't something that could be left out to bring the image below what will fit on a 700MB CD. If nothing else, there could be a separate "application" image that the user throws in the CD drive after booting once the "Live image" is already in RAM (this would also lower the RAM requirements for the initial boot from the Live CD). At the cost of the few people who will only run from the Live disk having to swap CDs, FC^h7 ends up being compatible with a much larger number of systems (only need a CD drive and a smaller RAM requirement). Hi all, after downloading F7 and before starting the install process (currently FC6), I'm verifying if are available in F7 all the packages I'm currently using. It's kind of like all of the laptop manufacturers decided to stay with 32-bit Windoze rather than try to support two architectures. I think I finally found a fairly current version on the Acer support site in Germany. Try doing a Google search for BCMWL564.SYS. Question about Mutt

Hi guys, At my workstation (FC 6) I use Mutt to read fast and easy my mails. It was pre-configured by IT-dept. However, at home I use a workstation running FC6 and a laptop running Ubuntu 7.04. I wish to install and configure Mutt to read and send emails from my @fedoraproject.org-emailadress which is redirected to my gmail-account. So actually: I need to configure it for Gmail. Hi, How can I convince nautilus/gnome, not to create dozens of directories, which I've never requested, during startup? Each time, I log in I have directories, like "Pictues", "Music", etc. I have my own way to sort my files, I don't need gnome's advice for that! Installer Problem

When I try install F7 I get the following error message: Partition Table on device sda was unreadable But if I drop out of Anaconda to the command line and do a fdisk -l I get all the current partitions working fine. Do I need to report this as a bug or is there a workaround to get it all working? Hi Fedora Folks, Any idea why, when I successfully open a TCP:PORT connection - write bytes into the port - wait PLENTY of time - Close Port - that nothing leaves ? The exact same code (from within a duplicate JBoss deployment situation) runs on my Mac system - but does not work on Fedora... hmmmm... Any ideas on how to prove/locate where the bytes-ball gets dropped? Thanks! Lance Drake
