Resolution Problem

I have a install FC7 and i can not fix resolution.My graphics card is Ati Radeon X550 and my monitör is Benq ( LCD ) FP202W and monitor resolutoion must 1680x1050 .But i can not fix it when i try to monitor type its com out of range . How can i fix it .Thanks for issue Best Regards

Can't find kernel-2.6.22.1-33.fc7

People keep talking about kernel-2.6.22.1-33.fc7 but I can't find it. The update process installed kernel-headers-2.6.22.1-33.fc7 but I am left with kernel-2.6.22.1-27.fc7 as the latest kernel installed. What is going on? -- ======================================================================= Then there was the ScoutMaster who got a fantastic deal on this case of Tates brand compasses for his troup; only $1.25 each! Only problem was, when they got them out in the woods, the compasses were all stuck pointing to the "W" on the dial. Hey, i couldn't wait till fedora was releasing a updated pidgin so i made it. it actually just needed about 3 specfile changes: - version - sub version (1_f7) - a few lines for new files That's it!! lsmod/insmod commands are not working

You can Google ["mc.mauser" "update-initramfs"] (include the quotes, omit the brackets), then scroll down to see mc.mauser's code. This solution is good only for Ubuntu, not Fedora! What can we do to get the attention of either the kernel developers and/or the Fedora folks and have them look at this problem? Admittedly, these old Zip drives are really obsolete, given that you can buy 8GB USB flash drives for less than half the cost of some of the IOMEGA models. It will almost make me sound like I must be totally clueless and incapable of running a Linux system. But, since that is not the case, here goes. This morning before work, I was attempting to print five sheets of a spreadsheet that I use every Monday (on Thursday's I print out three sheets from the exact same spreadsheet.) Up until this morning, this has always "Just Worked." This morning, I was only able to print the first sheet (of the five that I needed.) Whatever I tried, I could only print the first sheet. It isn't that I can only print one sheet, it's that I can only print the first sheet. I tried to print other sheets with no success. Also, I tried creating other multi sheet spreadsheets in OpenOffice.org and KSpread. We're talking just putting one character on each of three sheets. Same results as described above. I recreated the spreadsheet that I attempted to print this morning by copying and pasting all six sheets to a completely fresh spreadsheet. After I do a startx the screen blanks, and in nvidia driver case, stays there (all I can do is reset the machine). Are you sure you are not getting this kernel from one of the testing repos. As far as the site above, you are right it has the 586 and the 686 kernels are there but not the i386 kernel. Which explains the problem. new defaults install of f7, ff crashes gnome?

uneventful defaults install, nvidia 5200 card was auto-recognized, installed, recognized my Sun/Sony 21" monitor, OK nothing of note in logs, but starting ff2.0.0.5 causes gnome to crash, it restarts, shows me a bugzilla report, I send. I don't think it's crashing X because it drops back to graphical logon screen, looks just like the one after boot. >From time to time it works, like now. googled around some, went thru 30 pages of topics on this forum, not finding much. Also, the back and forward buttons won't work on my mouse, 2 different mice, both logitec, 1 ps2, 1 usb. Do I need to install the (gasp) proprietary Nvidia driver? I normally don't do closed stuff at all, but this is approaching unusability. I don't mean to follow the trend started by KL about sharing our personal Fedora experiences, but I want to congratulate the developers for a great job. In my quest for finding a linux-based home security/surveillance solution, I discovered that the stock kernel included a driver for my logitech quickcam messenger (this is a first, to my knowledge). No more searching, patching and compilation necessary, just plug the camera into the usb port. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that ZoneMinder is available via yum and works out of the box. Last, but not least, I did one more flawless F7 installation directly from an iso image stored on the hard drive, using the grub/vmlinux trick. Maybe I was just lucky, or maybe I knew how to avoid the troublesome points, but I didn't seem to run into all the problems reported by many people on this list. I could go on and on. Good job and keep up the good work!

I'll preface this by saying that I don't actually own an HP printer, but according to OpenPrinting it looks as though your printer is fully supported by the hplip drivers included with Fedora and works 'Perfectly' (their word, not mine) http://www.openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-PSC_1500 My guess then is that you can use all the /usr/bin/hp-* tools including hp-clean which is supposed to clean the print cartridge heads.
