make libcurl
by Thufir
I want to use cURL as a java JAR, ie:
[thufir@arrakis curl-java-0.2.3]$
[thufir@arrakis curl-java-0.2.3]$ head test.java
/*
** This test application accesses the Web site from Banco Santander,
** a Mexican bank, performs a login over SSL, receives a cookie and
** obtain the balance of a bank account, all using libcurl from Java.
**
** $Id: test.java 42 2008-10-20 09:27:21Z patrick $
*/
// import CurlGlue;
// import CurlRead;
[thufir@arrakis curl-java-0.2.3]$
No, I do *not* want to run cURL from the command line, I want to use it
from Java. There's an outdated link:
http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/java/
and a more up-to-date link:
http://www.gknw.net/mirror/curl/curl_java/curl-java-0.2.3.tar.gz
In any event, for the gknw tarball, I'm not sure how to proceed in making
the tarball, as the README doesn't specify the make procedure and I
haven't found the right tutorial for my level of c/c++ (nil).
thanks,
Thufir

Anyway to configure more than one KVM boot device?
by Matty
I am running a number of KVM guests on a physical machine, and want to
configure the hosts to boot from the network if the internal disk
isn't bootable. After reading through a number of documents, I came
across the following bug report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=472236
According to that document, I should be able to configure two boot
device statements by adding a second boot tag to the domain
configuration:
<os>
<type arch='x86_64' machine='pc'>hvm</type>
<boot dev='hd'/>
<boot dev='network'/>
</os>
When I attempt to start a guest with this configuration (I added the
new line using virsh's edit command), I receive the following error:
virsh # start kvmnode2
libvir: QEMU error : internal error Failure while reading monitor
startup output: Input/output error
error: Failed to start domain kvmnode2
Has anyone bumped into this? I checked the KVM website and fedora
archives, but wasn't able to locate a solution to this. I am using
Fedora 10 with the latest updates.
Thanks,
- Ryan

Evolution isn't saving my passwords...
by linux guy
When I updated from F8 to F10, Evolution stopped saving my passwords. I
have multiple email accounts, each with its own password. When I start
Evolution, it asks me for the password for each account. When I send an
email, it asks me for the password for the sending account.
How do I fix Evolution so that it properly stores and retrieves the
passwords for each account ?
