insmod error -- Invalid module format

Hello, I successfully built the sources for 64 bit linux drivers from http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php on the machine Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.35.6-45.fc14.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Oct 18 23:57:44 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and got wl.ko: /lib/modules/2.6.35.6-45.fc14.x86_64/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/wl.ko -rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 4061240 /lib/modules/2.6.35.6-45.fc14.x86_64/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/wl.ko* The Broadcom card is: 0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01) (full output of lspci is attached at the bottom of this email) However, all attempts to install as per the instructions in the readme http://www.broadcom.com/docs/linux_sta/README.txt failed. Hello What is the correct way to copy a file or directory to another directory? In the past I was able to use press the mouse left and right button, it didn't work all the time hard to press the two buttons at the same time. With the FC14 it does not work at all. I appreciate some direction. Thank you Vinny

HOW to REDIRECT to HTTPS?

I'm searching for a method [on client side] to redirect to HTTPS in a few given domains. e.g.: http://www.facebook.com/ to https://www.facebook.com/ Ok. I use several webbrowsers, and not all of them has "add-ons" to redirect these pages to https. My purpose is this: when i go to "http://www.facebook.com" i don't want to see any http traffic with wireshark Is this possible?? How can i achieve it? How can i automatically redirect http traffic for given domain names to HTTPS?? is it enough to redirect http? I mean then the webserver [e.g.: www.facebook.com] recognizes that i want to "talk" over HTTPS? I has a caching-nameserver on my pc - BIND I have an "ad blocking" proxy on my pc - PRIVOXY And my pc is a "linux box" - IPTABLES [iptables only knows ip addresses?]

Sleep hangs on Fedora 14 x86_64 for last few days

Hi all, Each night I run 'yum update'. Three days ago (give or take a day), I noticed that putting my laptop (Thinkpad T400s) to sleep no longer worked. It would fade the screen out, jump the the Fedora splash screen (like you see during boot, blue background with the Fedora logo centered) and then just sit there. The only recourse I have is to cold-boot the laptop. I checked /var/log/messages and this is what I see: http://pastebin.com/ZPVeCpZy Any thoughts or diagnostics tips? In case it matters, I've tried both the Fn-key combo and 'acpitool -s' with the same results. FC15 and GNOME3

I read in a non-Fedora list that GNOME3 has dropped the ability to do power management, and that all laptops will suspend when the cover is closed, like it or not. Hopefully that's just a users who doesn't know how to do config, but some feedback would be helpful, that behavior would be a total show stopper. If Intel is releasing hardware with that EEPROM version into the wild and is happy to support it on Windows, I am at a loss to understand why it can't be supported under Linux. It would be one thing if these were just a few engineering samples that escaped to ebay through some nefarious means. But the reports from the user suggest that these came through Dell and are being supported by the Windows driver. Fedora Weekly News?

Does this still exist? I was looking through some old email (2008/2009), and I see it was still appearing then, although it seemed to be getting more and more bureacratic, with reports from committees whose pontifications were generally unintelligible to me. Earlier on, IIRC, this newsletter used to contain interesting and useful (and intelligible) articles on features of Fedora, eg user-friendly articles on WiFi, PXEboot, etc. (I seem to remember articles on KDE, maybe by Anne Wilson, which opened my eyes to facilities available in KDE.) mouse clicks fail on first login

I had this on a previous distro, so it's not specific to Fedora. I log in and after about 60 seconds, mouse clicks no longer work. The only workaround is to log out and log back in. Then mouse clicks work for an unlimited time. This is an HP DV7 laptop with a Synaptics touchpad and a Logitech Marble Mouse plugged in to it. Anyone know what's going on? My guess is that it's an X bug.

Greetings, when I upgraded from Fedora 12 to Fedora 14, about twenty days ago, the system (which wasn't doing really well even before the upgrade) became almost unusable. The problem is, very likely, upstream of Fedora, but I would like to understand where exactly is and if/how Fedora in some way amplifies it.
