Exploit-db like websites, where people can search for security bugs

If someone has to decide between 2 very similar server programs, or operating systems, then it searches on sites like: http://www.exploit-db.com/search/ so that there he could get enough information about the given program/os's historical security bugs. Do you know exploit-db like sites, where can people search for security bugs? What's the best place to search? What's the best place to compare two softwares/os-es? Thank you!

Where is the new RESOLV.conf file?

Fedora 14: If I: $ cat /etc/resolv.conf # Generated by NetworkManager nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 $ where can i set the nameservers (so I don't have to set them after a reboot), if the NetworkManager rewrites them in the "/etc/resolv.conf"? Thank you!

rename flash drive auto mount point

Hi, I am running Fedora 13/gnome When I insert my 8g flash drive it is mounted on: mount ... /dev/sdb1 on /media/_body> <_ht type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=udisks,uid=500,gid=500,shortname=mixed,dmask=0077,utf8=1,flush) How the heck did it come up with that name: _body> <_ht How can I fix it?

Hello, I have a sound problem with my new F14 installed on dell laptop. I want to know if it is possible to restart the sound server without restarting Fedora. Firefox 4.0 for F14 x86_64

Only thing I had to edit from the f14 rpms was the false dependcy for 0.7 libnotify. Let me know if I forgot any deps, but I think all it is is xulrunner and firefox: http://people.redhat.com/jleddy/firefox4/ -- James M. Leddy Technical Account Manager Red Hat Inc.

I am using windows 7 on dell inspiron 1525.I have to install fedora in windows 7 or another partition of hard disk means dual booting but i have one problem my dvd drive is not working. Hi, I use VirtualBox on a RHEL5 with 24 cores (6 x4-cores processors). But it seems like only one or two processors are used. How can I configure VirtualBox and/or my virtual machine to allow it to use all processors ? Best regards Luc RHCE
