by Ranjan Maitra
Dear friends,
pdf-stapler has finally made it to the Fedora testing repos on Bodhi.
See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1234210
If you are in need of this alternative/workaround to the discontinued pdftk, please test and provide karma feedback.
Many thanks,
Ranjan

basic graphics mode/text?
by Jeffrey Ross
I've just installed an Fedora 23 system which I purposely did not include X-windows as the machine will always be accessed remotely.
My problem is I want to disable or force a basic graphics mode upon boot-up, currently when the system boots is reaches a specific point and the display changes from 80x24 to some higher resolution, how do I stop this behavior and leave a very basic display setting? By doing so I hope to be able to move the disks to different hardware easily without having to worry about graphics adapters.
Thanks, Jeff

how to enable touchpad on ASUS G752VL-DH71 running f23 live
by Robert P. J. Day
i just picked up a new ASUS G752VL gaming laptop, booted a F23 live DVD in
basic graphics mode, i'm in gnome, still some tweaking to do but, for the
life of me, i can't enable the touchpad.
i've tried the H/W based Fn+F9 which several people online suggest, and
a regular USB mouse works fine. i've gone into the configuration, but
see nothing related to enabling/disabling the touchpad. any hints as to
where i should be looking? thanks.
rday
p.s. if anyone else has installed F23 on this beast, feel free to let
me know what other gotchas you ran into.

Live image installation fails to recognize existing LVM volumes
by Emmett Culley
I attempted to install the KDE live image for Fedora 23 and found that the installer would not recognize existing LVM logical volumes.
It the past (Fedora 21), I was able to select existing LVM volumes from the "unknown" list and cause the OS to be installed on existing LVM logical volumes. Now, all I see in the "unknown" list four non-raid partitions, two of which were swap partitions.
Why doesn't the installer load the LVM volumes?
