more than two monitors not working on nouveau, but works on proprietary

Hi all, Now that I'm loving f25beta so much and refuse to go back to f24 I'm forced to address a problem I've had for some time. Up through f24 I've had to install the nvidia proprietary driver to be able to use more than 2 monitors on my GTX960 (if I connected more than 2 it locked up the machine). Now with the switch to Wayland in f25 the closed source driver doesn't seem to be an option, so I need to see if it's possible to get it working under nouveau (or maybe buy an ATI card). So does anyone know how to make 3 or more monitors work under nouveau? Thanks for any advice

I have two devices in hand, one Android and one iPhone, and 3rd party has a few other devices as well (I do not have the specifics of the devices he is using). We are all scanning the same barcode on each of the phones - I am printing the QR into the physical and scanning the Android and iPhone off of the same sheet - and they all sync except for the iPhone that I have which is displaying a completely different number. I have watched to see if it is simply out of time sync but this does not appear to be the case. The iPhone does not have any other issues reported. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Middle button emulation -

3 button emulation provides the ultimate in convenience for copy/paste, highlight and one click and you're done! I do not understand why fedora makes it so difficult to have this feature? I have two similar computers both running Fedora 24, this one a new installation. On both I have added the following to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf: Section "InputClass" Identifier "middle button emulation class" MatchIsPointer "on" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "on" Driver "evdev" EndSection On box7 this works as expected, on this new installation in box10 it does not. Filesystem for backup system

Hi, I've built an 11TB RAID5 array using fedora23 (soon to be fedora24) to be used for backup for a bunch of mail and web servers, and thought I'd inquire about the best filesystem to use. I suppose I'm most familiar with ext4, although I understand xfs is the default filesystem during install now. I believe most files will be maildir style email files, as well as maillogs, and some tar.bz2 files, so the file size ranges will be varied. We're using a homegrown backup script that uses rsync with the --link-dest option to preserve space. I'd like to move to bacula, but don't have the time/resources right now. I'm concerned about recovery time for failed disks, but that's probably a conversation for another post. googleearth

Bonjour, I have just installed googleearth (stable current) from an rpm downloaded from google-earth site. It seems to work, but if I ask for a location, it always zooms at the same place: somewhere in the atlantic ocean south of Africa, south of the Ivory coast. Is it a bug? Is there something to configure? off topic -- web testing/scraping question.

Hi guys. Dealing with an issue -- waaaaaay off topic fr fed! (but thought I' post, see if anyone has thoughts..) I'm dealing with a testing/scraping process of a target site. Collecting isbn data for college classes. The site has gone to using obfuscation/encryption/etc.. which requires implementing a browser/javascript soln to generate the actual content. The 1st pass test uses headless browser/casperjs to simply get the target page. This solution works, but is abysmally slow. In fact I can manually insert the url into a browser and get the returned result faster! I've seen some articles that imply it's doable to fire off/run a real browser ff/chrome from the cmd line with the targetd url ,which would then produce the required output. (But haven't seen any pointers/exmples on how to accomplish as of yet). Any thoughts/comments/pointers?? Thanks.. ps/ I'll eventually post to SO (stackoverflow), and i've got some ongoing initial conversations on a few IRC channels. If you can think of other places I could check, I'm even thinking of finding a resource that might be able to "reverse" engineer the obfuscated content (for $$$) if I knew a good site/resource to approach.

also, any limitations with experimenting with softdog on x86_64?

admittedly kind of a kernel question but in preparation for playing with software watchdog on a powerpc target, are there any limitations related to setting up softdog on my x86_64 laptop running fedora 23? i just want to experiment -- would there be any significant differences in how the software watchdog works based on the underlying architecture? again, thanks. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P. TouchPad.....

Hello all, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I recently upgraded from F23 to F24, and now for some strange reason my touchpad on my Lenovo ThinkPad T420 doesn't edge scroll anymore. I've tried looking online for a solution but none of them work. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what I should be looking for? Any help with this is greatly appreciated! Cheers!
