complete shutdown impossible (fedora 24)
by François Patte
Bonsoir,
I am facing a problem: when I shutdown my computer
1) the screen is immediately turned off so I can't see the shutdown
messages.
2) the computer does not stop, I have to press for a long time on the
power button.
Installation uses encrypted raid arrays (raid 1) on 2 disks.
After reboot, I went to journalctl and here are the last messages of the
shutdown sequence (I am unable to interpret thes messages, so maybe some
other preceeding messages could be important.

Firefox issue
by Paolo Galtieri
After my rather strange upgrade to F25 from F22 documented in a previous
email to this list "Issue upgrading to F25" I'm now having an issue with
firefox. Firefox will crash on startup. I tried starting in safe-mode
and firefox still crashes. I removed the .mozilla directory and started
firefox in safe-mode and after telling it to not import anything firefox
still crashes. I did an md5sum on firefox binary and the libraries
displayed when you run
ldd /usr/lib64/firefox/firefox-bin
between the system that crashes and am F25 system where firefox works
fine and everything matched up. Here is what firefox shows on startup:
/usr/lib64/firefox/firefox-bin --safe-mode

I am writing a spec file. Everything build fine until the very last. Make

Part of the spec file:

deltarpms save almost no space
by Andre Robatino
Deltarpms used to save about 75% of update size, lately it's almost nothing, since most packages don't get drpms. In the latest F25 update, for example, even the update from thunderbird-45.6.0-2.fc25.x86_64 to thunderbird-45.6.0-3.fc25.x86_64 didn't have a drpm. Anyone know what's going on?

Cannot install fedora 25 on my new Dell XPS with "raid on" option
by Massimo Canonico
Hi all,
after several attempts to install F25 workstation, I figured out why the fedora live is not able to work on my new laptop.
My laptop has Windows 10 pre-installed and...
- if the SATA option is set to "RAID ON", Windows 10 is happy but F25 live is not able to see the SSD
- if the SATA options is set to "AHCI", F25 live is able to see the SSD and I can install Fedora, but Windows 10 crashes after the boot.
I'have tried to disable fastboot of Windows as suggested somewhere on Internet but It didn't work.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Massimo

epel question?
by kevin martin
Perhaps this is not the correct place to ask this but going to the
fedoraproject main page is no help so....
Trying to install clamav for EL6 and it keeps seeing clamav-0.99-3 but
clamav--0.99-3 doesn't exist anywhere but one mirror in Italy (from what
pbone tells me) and if I try to specifically download 0.99-2.1 I'm told the
package is not available (yet it's the only clamav package I see on the
mirrors). Can somebody explain what I might do on my end to fix this
and/or why 99-3 is being advertised when 99-2 is clearly the only version
that should be?

Issue upgrading to F25
by Paolo Galtieri
I decided today to upgrade one of my systems to F25. I upgraded 2
others a few weeks ago to F25 without issues. On this system, however,
after it downloads all the packages I get this error:
warning:
/var/lib/dnf/system-upgrade/adobe-source-han-sans-tw-fonts-1.004-3.fc24.noarch.rpm:

The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful
transaction.
You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'.
I tried the download twice with the same error.
If I try to run:
sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot
I get:
Error: system is not ready for upgrade
I'm upgrading from F22. Here are the steps I followed:
sudo dnf upgrade --refresh
sudo dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade
sudo dnf system-upgrade download --allowerasing --refresh --releasever=25
sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot
It appears the package:
fedora-repos-25-1.noarch
is not getting installed.
Anyone know what I should do next?
Any help is appreciated.
