Thanks this also solves the same problem on my machine (DELL-Optiplex 755 with
onboard Intel graphics media Accelerator 3100 (according to specs)).

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

F28: Mouse and Keyboad issues
by Stefan Hübner
Hi,
another thing I noticed since F28 upgrade is what I would best describe as
"hickups".
Sometimes the mouse pointer hangs for a fraction of a second - just enough
to notice it.
Sometimes the keyboard repeats the last stroke for 3 to 5 times, which
sometimes is quite anoying - eg. when Ctrl-W a browser tab and finding 5
tabs closed instead.
Did anyone else see this?
Funny! It just happened again! This is journald:

why no kernel src rpm in repository?
by Chris Caudle
]$ dnf --enablerepo=updates-source download --source kernel
...
No package kernel-4.16.7-300.fc28.src available.
Exiting due to strict setting.
Error: No package kernel-4.16.7-300.fc28.src available.
Anyone know why there is no kernel source available? Has been the case
for the last few kernels.
I do not see any packages in:
.../fedora/linux/updates/28/Everything/source/tree/Packages
Three different mirrors had no source packages, so it is not just a matter
of one mirror being slow to synchronize.
Is this a question which should go to devel, packaging, infrastructure? I
can't tell from the list descriptions if any of those lists would be
better suited to answer the question.

kernel not configured for semaphores
by Paolo Galtieri
Folks,
twice now in the last 2 days when I have sat in front of my PC I have
found the following message on the screen:
Kernel not configured for semaphores (System V IPC). Not using udev
synchronization code.
Halting.
Since I have not modified my kernel from what I downloaded when I did
the most recent update I don't understand why this message is appearing.
Both times it occurred during the night because I find it first thing in
the morning.
Anyone have any idea what is causing this message to appear?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Paolo

Make a systemd user service go away?
by Tom Horsley
I installed the grive2 package so I could manually,
when I need to upload a file to google drive via
a command line tool. It works (clumsily) for this.
But the package also installs a bunch of systemd user
services and timers that unsuccessfully try to
sync some nonexistant directory every half hour,
filling the log with fantastic numbers of errors.
I tried to do systemctl disable --user commands
on these things to make them go away, but it
had no effect.
I did a "find" to discover all the places cluttered
with these grive units and came up with this big
hammer to eradicate them:
rm -rf /usr/lib/systemd/user/grive-changes@.service \
/usr/lib/systemd/user/grive-timer@.service \
/usr/lib/systemd/user/grive-timer@.timer \
/etc/systemd/user/timers.target.wants/grive-timer@.timer \
/etc/systemd/user/default.target.wants/grive-changes@.service
But even after doing that the damn log messages keep
appearing as though systemd has them squirrelled away
somewhere and refuses to relinquish them. (I'll soon
learn if rebooting after that manages to work).
So I have to ask, is there some "official" way to make
systemd user services go away and stop bothering me?

Fonts in F27
by Gordon Messmer
After upgrading to F27, I noticed that fonts looked "off". I made a
screenshot of Thunderbird and gnome-terminal displaying roughly
identical contents on Fedora 25, 26, and 27. The older two releases are
identical, but F27's fonts (both fixed-width and variable-width) appear
to be the same width as they were previously, but taller. Characters
like monospace 'o' used to be round and are now oblong. Everything
seems slightly heavier as a result of the additional pixels. Does
anyone know if this change was intentional? Personally, I think it's
worse than before.

[My first attempt went out without a subject somehow; sorry]
Hi,
I have a fedora27 system with nagios-4.3.4-3.fc27.x86_64 and
httpd-2.4.33-5.fc27.x86_64 and am receiving the following error when
trying to check the status through the web interface. I've even tried
to remove the httpd.conf and nagios.conf config files then
reinstalling httpd and nagios. I don't believe I've made any other
changes from the default system.

I'm guessing you're trying to execute the CGI from a command line.
In order to do that, you need to set the REQUEST_METHOD environment
variable to either "GET", "HEAD", or "POST". When using the
GET and HEAD methods, arguments can be passed to the CGI
by setting the "QUERY_STRING" environment variable. If you're
using the POST method, data is read from standard input. Also of
note: if you've enabled authentication in the CGIs, you must set the
"REMOTE_USER" environment variable to be the name of the user you're
"authenticated" as.
I've done a bit of searching, and it appears apache thinks the cgi
files are scripts and not executables. How can I configure apache to
interpret these files properly?

Help with SE Linux
by Kushal
Hello there,
Do you use Fedora for web development? Do you use Docker? Perhaps you might
have an easy solution to my problem.
I have an open bug at https://github.com/cytopia/devilbox/issues/255
I would like to make devilbox work seamlessly out of the box without
messing with setenforce.
Can you please help me in setting up drupal-compose appropriately so I can
do that?
Sincerely,
