DNF Openjdk Update Issue in F41

Hi, A "sudo dnf upgrade" produced the following messages twice at the beginning of the update process and again with the trigger scripts. These messages provide instructions for what to do in F42, but what is the solution for F41, or isn't there? Also, what is the dnf 5 logs related message? In addition, what is the meaning of the message "jdk duplicates jre", that doesn't make sense to me? I understand that the jdk includes the jre, but the written message I don't understand? After F41 waydroid System Update, no longer runs

Any ideas? I'm not sure if this is even a Waydroid bug since it wasn't an update in the waydroid package that triggered it.

KDE and rumors

Hi All, I just tested a program to see how it would react to the Wayland only environment of KDE. From what little I saw of KDE, I could not help but notice that KDE is really polished. It would be a good choice for moderate and above users. MATE is still the best choice for low skill user. I heard a rumor that Fedora may be switching over to KDE. Can anyone confirm or deny the rumor? My vote is that it would be a good thing. Gnome is too weird for me. -T

sound problem on f40

Bonjour, I have some sound problems on my f40: 1- sound works with some applications like audacious or vlc or kaffeine but it does not work from sources via firefox or chromium 2- I have an usb camera with a mic and this mic is not detected by skype for instance... All this was working "before" (sound-web, mic) what stupidity could I have done? And how can I correct this? Installing NVIDIA drivers killed wireless...

I have an ASUS ROG Strix laptop running Fedora 41, KDE spin. It was working OK, though there were some screen issues. So, I installed akmod-nvidia from rpmfusion. All the screen issues cleared up, but I lost wireless networking. There's no wireless device, it seems. The networking widget just says no network connections available. I tried pluggin in a Realtek usb wireless adapter, but it wouldn't work either. In /var/log/messages, the USB adapter is recognized as a Realtek device, but that's about it. I grepped /var/log/messages for NetworkManager, and I find that it says it loaded with "success." Is this a known issue with a simple solution, or do I have to reinstall and stick with the nouveau drivers? As an aside, I have blacklisted the nouveau driver. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, billo

Which package to file a bug against for the Live ISO?

Hi Everyone, I screwed up an install on a GPT system. I booted back into the LiveCD and tried to use gdisk (the GPT equivalent of fdisk). gdisk was missing from the ISO. I'd like to file a bug for the missing package, but I don't know which package is used for the Live ISO. Which package should I file a bug against for the Live ISO? Thanks in advance.

Update failure in Fedora 40

I am trying to upgrade my laptop to Fedora 41, but I cannot get a clean update state in the current Fedora 40. I ran "dnf update" successfully and it installed many updates including a new kernel. After a reboot, much to my surprise dnfdragora reported 18 updates available.
