When I try logging on after booting up FC15 for the first time... oh no!
It's extremely irritating to get a cute message that offers no useful
information whatsoever.
My impression from cursory scanning of this list is that gnome 3 doesn't
work with a lot of hardware configurations. Is this likely the problem,
and if so is there a way I can log on to KDE, which presumably still
works? Any suggestions as to how to proceed would be appreciated.

Jerry,
I have had the same problem with my first new F15 install. So far there
has been no solution, and I am close to giving F15 a burial. I am not
sure whether to use a different platform or just use F14. Take a look a
this bug link for the details.

If you have KDE installed you should be able to use KDE at least I could
on mine. If you did not install KDE you will have to get to a terminal
interface and install KDE with yum. If you need more details just let
me know, and I will try to give you a hand.

Jerry,
F15 released a new kernel 2.6.38.8-35.fc15.i686.PAE as well as a bunch
of additional modules. After mine was updated my "Oh No!" disappeared.
I have been able to login via gnome3 and have begun to test the waters
with it. So far gnome3 has a lot of response delays that I have not
been able to figure out, but at least I am there.
Try updating your system and see if that works.
