have you seen this wikipedia entry, "GNOME Software is a utility for software installation and updates..."
I'm using a debian derivative but on my package manager it's described as "gnome-software", apparently from here: https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Software
Before installing it, I knew what it did. I did not know it was not configurable. I've seen both websites before. They say nothing about how to configure "Software".
