From the man page, I see no way to tell cp to copy a symbolic link as a symbolic link.
I think the Option "-P" will do it.
-a does it, but diff is complaining that the links are broken. In my case, /bin/acroread -> /opt/Adobe/Reader9/bin/acroread.
