I open VMPK, run a mouse over the virtual keys, and I get sound.
I open MusE, load a MIDI file; I see activity, but hear no sound.
I go back to VMPK, and it generates no sound.
The challenge is making something like Rosengardan function.
It seems that it involves understanding the technology stack.
With networks you have something like ifconfig -a, lsof -i, or nwcli to use which can give you some diagnostics and probe network functionality and connections.
Are there tools to use to diagnose configurations?
