Alan, what about using yum for your needs?
It resolves all dependencies and does everything you want.
I think in respect you are not clued enough to get all the dependencies
figured out by yourself. So please use a package manager like yum or
apt.
It should be in mysql.
However, on mine (FC3) that library is libmysqlclient.so.10 and I do not
see anything with the .0 level. Are you sure you are looking for the
correct file?
