Hi guys - do you know?
Is Chromium's playback hw-accelerated some other way, is it accelerated at all?

many thanks, L.

Nobody, really... no video platform users among Fedora?

There are on https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/ that is a lot more active than this list.
I expect you will get a response there,

Barry

I'm perplexed for when - say in Youtube - content/clips is VP9 encoded then Chromium seems okey & goes for "VaapiVideoDecoder" but when it comes to AV1 encoded content then "Dav1dVideoDecoder" gets selected - Firefox, but even more curiously Chromium from Flatpak, do use VAAPI for AV1.
Any thoughts/suggestions on how to resolved this "issue" much appreciated.
thanks, L.
