Hi all,

Yesterday I finally start the upgrade process from f11 KDE x86_64 to f12 KDE x86_64. I tried it with the preupgrade method as described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PreUpgrade
I made some space in /boot first, just to make sure, and it turned out there was not a problem there. Preupgrade went ok, downloaded packages and ordered me to reboot the system. At restart, I got a fatal message: 'kernel panic -  (dont remember the exact error)', which looked pretty ugly imo. I burned the KDE live CD in advance, just to make sure, and as it turned out, I just went on doing a clean install using the live CD. Install went fine, but afterwards I had to fix some issues concerning the NVidia - KDE freezing  (Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M) (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=533620 ) Installing the fix (workaround?) from Rex Dieter solved the problem. Security issues (AVC denial) from SELinux when using the chromium browser got solved by enabling the testing repos and updating selinux. System is fully operational now and I must admit, it looks nice again. Thx Fedora!

regards,

Steven
