Yes.

Same result.

I don't know the answer: a student who knows quite a bit about Fedora used to use it.
But it has never been a problem to upgrade this machine
previously.
Is there an obvious way to remove/figure out packages that are causing the problems?
Another thing to try is to run
sudo rpm --rebuilddb
And try the upgrade again.
