You can also run (after doing the config and patching):

CONCURRENCY_LEVEL=$(getconf _NPROCESSORS_ONLN) INSTALL_MOD_STRIP=1 make rpm-pkg
sudo yum install ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/kernel-4.0.0-rc4-1.x86_64.rpm
