I'm having problems with XF86. It will not let me run a

have tried using different combination of drivers for both monitor or
video card and nothing works. This system dual boots between redhat 9
and fedora and under redhat 9 I can run 1600x1200 no problem. I tried
editing the XF86Config file by hand to give it the same settings as my
redhat install but it still goes back to 1024x768. Anyone else have this
problem or know of a resolution for it?
This is devoid of almost any useful information.. which graphics card
are you using? What are the contents of your XFree86 log
(/var/log/XFree86.0.log)? What are the contents of your XF86Config
file?
Its also usually a good idea to check the bug database, if this has
already been reported a temporary workaround may be in there. Or you
could provide additional information to make the debugging process go
faster. ^,^
