shutdown messages

Bonjour,

While shutdowning, I can see, but have not the time to read, some
strange messages on the console. These messages are not logged. Is there
a way to slow down the message display at shutdown.

A good tool would be an "interactive" shutdown: press a key to access
the next displayed page of messages.
