GDM now uses /etc/X11/dm/Sessions/. You must create a xfce.desktop file
with something like this:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=XFCE4
Comment=This session logs you into XFCE4
Exec=startxfce4
Icon=
Type=Application
