Thanks guys, what Sam is saying about config files is what I have seen 
on the net for changing the GDM login screen background (one of the 
instructions was to replace a particular png file that is the grey 
background, but I can't find the specified png file in the specified 
location on my F24 system) specified config files to update but I can't 
find the config files on my F24 system, hence the question of which 
files in F24 need to be updated to change the theme.
