Thanks, Ed. It seems that ibus-typing-booster is exactly what I am looking for. However, I cannot put it working on my machine.
I run
ibus-setup
and go to Preferences and add the
Other -Typing booster
input method, but, when I open gedit and write something, no suggestions are presented to me as was supposed. It appears that "Typing booster" is being ignored.
Any ideas? I am running F33 and XFCE.
Before using ibus you must first run "im-chooser" to select ibus as your input method. After selection, you'll need to logout/login.
With the default preferences you will have a EN (assuming English is your primary language) on the System Tray.
Thanks a lot, Ed! I did not have
im-chooser
installed. After having installed that, I did as you suggested, and now "ibus-typing-booster" is working perfectly!
