Nope, I use it and only run X11. I seem to recall a bug that briefly existed before an update fixed it where if you logged out, it wouldn't prompt you to log in again. Here are the sddm related rpms I have installed:
sddm-0.19.0-18.fc35.x86_64 sddm-breeze-5.23.4-1.fc35.noarch
(at least the only ones with sddm in the name).
