Are you asking me to research how to send "text only" emails from the gmail web interface?

I use thunderbird as my email client and using it is a simple matter of selecting the "Delivery Format"
in Options prior to sending.  Also, thunderbird has a feature to always send only "plain text" to
designated domains.
