The inclination to top post is very easy to understand, particularly if
one's email client positions the cursor before text from a prior quoted
message. But it is hard to understand why people do so in contradiction
of very clear, conspicuous broadcasts of list conventions urging
subscribers to place their remarks FOLLOWING the text they are
responding to.

List conventions also request that posters trim quoted text to include
only that part that establishes context for your reply. Hence there
should be *no* quoted text below the last line of any reply. Please note
this convention, Mr Curry.
