Someone else recently posted a trick using rpmrebuild to fix the
google-earth-stable RPM. You might want to search the archives over the
last month or so. The latest was google-earth-stable-6.0.3-2197-0 when
I last installed it. Perhaps Google's yum repo is behind there direct

> xdg-desktop-menu install /opt/google/earth/free/google-earth.desktop

> man 1 xdg-desktop-menu
I guess that this can not be done using yum then?
Btw, does GoogleEarth have a repo, or is there a third-party repo
