how to upgrade from rh8 - need pointer to steps to follow

Thanks for the input, Amadeus.  I ended up moving my data from slave
drive to master drive, eliminating slave drive partitions, creating a
single partition, and now have a /home2 2.2Gb directory! to use for
something.

I am somewhat confused about the upgrade from RH8 to Fedora.  Can
someone point me to an "official" document to follow?

I'm attempting to do this with either yum (links keep popping up for
duke, which then crashes my browsers), or apt-get (not sure where to
download and install correct version).  Any help appreciated.
