How can I pass a command line with a password like
gnome-terminal -- ssh -X Homere -p
when the password has "("
Try "(" ?
Maybe it is not recommended, you have other option
Does setting up ssh with passphrase for passwordless login not work for you? I think that is the recommended way to do this since your passphrase is not available in cleartext.
