What about:
- "hooks" functionality (automatically change config options (From, Reply-To, Signature, folder to which messages are saved, everything else...) when entering a certain folder or sending mail with a certain "From" address
This can be done by editing the account properties - you're not limited to one account. Accounts can be used for receiving and/or sending. Signature, custom headers, X-Face or Face, default folders (sent, drafts, inbox, etc.).
Folders also have properties that can override some settings (handy for mailing lists or groups for instance).
Give it a quick look, or I'll have to re-write the manual and the GUI here ;-).
- macros
No macros meaning that you cannot macro-ify GUI interactions, but Claws Mail has user actions, filtering and processing rules as well as templates for editing. Claws Mail is much configurable and customizable in many ways.
- IMAP support
Yes, it's in.
We'll be happy to answer any further question you'd have, you can get quick replies on IRC (freenode.net #claws).
Regards,
