A couple of things. Fedora.us hasn't, last time I checked, built any Extras for FC3 yet. As you can see from their download site, they are changing from stable/testing/unstable to just Extras, so you'll need to update your config to reflect that.
The stuff your looking for won't be in fedora.us, it is/will be at livna.org, though.
Regarding yum.conf, the new recommended way is to have a separate <packager>.repo file in /etc/yum.repo.d for each repo you use. So you might add a file fedora.us-extras.repo in /etc/yum.repo.d for that repo. Curious, why do you have multiple urls listed like that? Is it a way to specify your own set of mirrors to rotate through?

Hello everybody
I've searched this list for my problem but couldn't find an answer.
When I run "yum check-update" I get the following failure:
[root@localhost ~]# yum check-update Repository updates-released already added, not adding again Repository base already added, not adding again Setting up Repo: fedora-unstable Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: fedora-unstable failure: repodata/repomd.xml from fedora-unstable: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
My Fedora Extras part of yum.conf looks like this: [fedora-stable] name=Fedora.us Extras (Stable) baseurl=http://fedora.quicknet.nl/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.stable
http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/fedora/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/...
http://fedora.mirror.sdv.fr/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.stable http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.stable gpgcheck=1
[fedora-unstable] name=Fedora.us Extras (Unstable) baseurl=http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/fedora/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/...
http://fedora.mirror.sdv.fr/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.unstabl...
http://fedora.quicknet.nl/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.unstable
http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS...
http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.unstable gpgcheck=1
[fedora-testing] name=Fedora.us Extras (Testing) baseurl=http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.testing
http://fedora.quicknet.nl/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.testing
http://fedora.mirror.sdv.fr/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS.testing
http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora.us/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/RPMS...
http://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/fedora/fedora/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/... gpgcheck=1
However, when I go to http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/3/i386/ all I can see are the following directories:
RPMS.extras RPMS.os RPMS.updates-testing RPMS.update
Could anyone please help me setting up the fedora extras repos so that I can get xine, xmms-mp3 and such stuff?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Christian
