Here is my new .fetchmailrc:
set postmaster "hennebry"
set bouncemail
set no spambounce
set softbounce
set properties ""
set no showdots
poll
ndsu.edu with proto IMAP
user 'Michael.Hennebry' there is 'hennebry' here
options keep fetchall ssl mda "formail -c >> /home/hennebry/inbox"
folder INBOX
I omitted the commented out lines.
Here is the result:
[hennebry@localhost grease]$ fetchmail
Enter password for Michael.Hennebry(a)ndsu.edu:
fetchmail: couldn't find canonical DNS name of
ndsu.edu (
ndsu.edu): No
address associated with hostname
fetchmail: Query status=11 (DNS)
Both dig and nslookup agree with that assessment,
but mail sent there from my cableone account still gets there.
WTF?
