There's the brute force and ignorance method:  Connect a 3.5 mm patch
lead between line out to line in, and record the line in signal.

Obviously there can be some quality losses doing it this way, but they
may be insignificant to you.  And it gets around all technical attempts
to stop you copying the sound.
