My password, etc, work as expected on the gmail "web mail" page, I can send and receive, however that's not what I want, I prefer to use Thunderbird.
Perhaps someone else has been though this and can tell me what needs to be done?
Using the web access to your account you must explicitly allow the use of POP or IMAP. I highly recommend IMAP because the mails stay on the server.
