For years I've been using gmane to read/write this (and other) lists. Unfortunately it appears that the gmane interface to this list has become readonly, and I have to use hyperkitty to post. (Yes, I have moved my nntp clilent (knode) to the new news.gmane.io)
Or use an email client. It is after all a mailing list, not a newsgroup or web forum. IMHO the attempt to make it a forum is a failure.
