My apologies if this is a Very Dumb Question: what arepeople viewing mp4 files with? I've tried a bunch of stuff, and searched "Fedora mp4" online, but it seems nothing I have installed will do it.
Enable RPMFusion repos, install `mpv`.
This, plus: if you have an xbox360 controller available you can use this device as a remote for mpv, with around 20 buttons/functions to navigate some video: backward, forward, pause, quit, upside down, subtitle and language changes and more. See: https://github.com/wlfgp/xboxdrv-mouse
Navigation with the controller and xboxdrv (userspace driver) probably is possible for other movie players, too. Didn't test it. Needs a little extra work tho', probably.
You'll never touch a keyboard again to watch videos after using the controller with this driver just once ... ;)
And no: I didn't write the driver - just published my configs in the repo mentioned above ...
