All,
I have a scenario similar to: http://www.mail-archive.com/psyche-list@redhat.com/msg18925.html
The only difference is Im using tvtime instead of xawtv. tvtime runs great, and as listed in that thread, Im still getting audio once the app closes.
As root, I can issue a rmmod -a soundcore (twice) to stop the audio, but I cant seem to be able to make the script work as a regular user.
What would I have to do to enable this to work for a normal login, as Im assuming running tvtime as root is not desirable.
Thanks.

Have you tried something like
post-install bttv insmod tuner post-remove bttv rmmod tuner
in /etc/modules.conf?

I made the change in /etc/modules.conf, but does it require something afterward to take effect?

I explained this a little more fully here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15245...
